HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-332 10-23-1973RESOLUTION NO. 332 WHEREAS, the Euless City Council, as the duly elected governing body of the citizens of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, is charged not only with the responsibility of providing adequate and proper municipal services for its citizens, but to speak for and on their behalf in all areas of public service, and WHEREAS, the Euless City Council, in response to an ever - increasing number of complaints from its citizens, has made inquiry and conducted an investigation into the postal service being provided its citizens, and WHEREAS, the Euless City Council, following such investigation, has determined and is of the opinion not only that the United States Postal facilities within the City of Euless are wholly inadequate to provide proper postal services for its citizens' needs, but as same now exist present a real and current danger to the safety and well being of its citizens due to the lack of adequate parking and driveway facilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, that this Resolution be forwarded to the United States Postal Service and the duly elected Congres- sional Representatives of the citizens of Euless requesting urgent action to enlarge or relocate the postal facility serving the City of Euless so that same might properly meet the needs of its citizens and to eliminate the traffic hazards resulting from the present inadequate facility. ADOPTED, this the 23rd day of October, 1973, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas. APPROVED: A. d.
