WHEREAS, the Euless City Council on the 10th day of
April, 1973, by Ordinance No. 443, did establish a system of
civil service for certain employees of the City of Euless and
did further create a Civil Service Commission for the promul-
gation of rules and regulations and the administration thereof,
and
WHEREAS, the Euless Civil Service Commission, pursuant
to the charge of such Ordinance, has prepared and submitted to
the Euless City Council proposed rules and regulations for the
operation and administration of the Euless Civil Service System,
and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council, following review and
evaluation of same, is of the opinion that such rules and
regulations, as proposed, will, upon implementation, properly
effect for the benefit of employees of the City of Euless,
Texas, a system of Civil Service as contemplated by the Council
upon the enactment of the Ordinance aforementioned.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Euless, Texas, that the rules and regulations
proposed for the Euless Civil Service System as submitted to the
City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, be in all things
approved and adopted as the initial rules and regulations of the
Euless Civil Service System.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such rules and regulations
shall become operational upon the subsequent adoption and
approval by the Eubss City Council of the Schedule of Job
Classifications called for by such rules and regulations. That
such rules and regulations as adopted by the Council be now
disseminated to the employees of the City of Euless affected by
such System so that such System might be more expeditiously
implemented upon adoption of such required classifications and
that the Euless Civil Service Commission continue in its efforts
to obtain and submit to the Euless City Council its proposed
Schedule of Job Classifications as soon as possible so that the
Euless Civil Service System can be fully implemented.
ADOPTED, this the 12th day of February, 1974, at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
