WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas,
has this date been presented the resignation of Mr. C. J. Griggs
as City Manager of the City of Euless, and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council has, in keeping with the
request of Mr. Griggs, accepted such resignation from office, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Euless City Council to
provide for continuity in the office of City Manager by the
appointment of an interim and acting City Manager for the conduct
of the affairs of the municipality pending appointment of a full -
time, permanent City Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, AS FOLLOWS:

The resignation of Mr. C. J. Griggs as the City Manager
of the City of Euless, presented this date to the City Council of
the City of Euless, is respectfully accepted effective as of date
hereof.

By the authority vested by the Charter and Ordinances of
the City of Euless and the laws of the State of Texas, the City
Council of the City of Euless does herewith and hereby appoint to
the office of City Manager of the City of Euless, as interim and
acting City Manager, W. M. Sustaire, who shall have and be vested,
during the tenure of his appointment, with all rights, powers,
privileges and duties granted the office of City Manager by the
Carter and Ordinances of the City of Euless and the laws of the
State of Texas to serve in such capacity and to hold such office
for an indefinite term subject only to the Charter and Ordinances
of the City of Euless and the laws of the State of Texas.
ADOPTED, this the 15th day of November, 1974, at 4 :00
o'clock ,.M., at a specially called meeting of the City Council
of the City of Euless, Texas.
