WHEREAS, the American Revolution Bi- Centennial Administra-
tion of the United States announced on November 21, 1974, that
Euless had been designated a National Bi- Centennial Community; and
WHEREAS, such designation will bring both local, regional,
state and national recognition to the City of Euless; and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council acknowledges that such
tribute to the City has occurred largely through the dedicated
efforts of the members of the Euless Bi- Centennial Committee
appointed by this Council and chaired by Mrs. George (Brenda)
Eberhardt; and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council desires to acknowledge
the efforts of such Committee and its Chairperson for the efforts
so resulting in this recognition to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, in regular session formally assembled, that
the Euless Bi- Centennial Committee and its Chairperson, Mrs. George
(Brenda) Eberhardt, be and they are herewith and hereby commended
and grateful appreciation extended for the dedicated efforts of
such Committee and its Chairperson in bringing to Euless the honor
bestowed by the American Revolution Bi- Centennial Administration of
the United States of America in naming Euless an official National
Bi- Centennial Community.
ADOPTED, this the 26th day of November, 1974, at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
