HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-375 11-11-1975RESOLUTION NO. 375 RESOLUTION FOR APPOINTMENTS TO EULESS CITY BOARDS AND /OR COMMISSIONS Section 1. The City Manager shall have the City Secretary send written notices to each Council member 120 days in advance of the expiration of any and all terms of any and all appointments to the City Boards and /or Commissions. Section 2. Each City Council member should inform interested citizens and request each candidate to submit in writing, a letter with name, address, telephone number, and1bspgraphical data 60 days prior to expiration of term. A copy of this letter should be sent to all Council members. Council members will then have 60 days to interview the prospective candidate. Section 3. At the last Council meeting prior to expiration of term, new candidates can be appointed and /or existing candidates can be reappointed. Section 4. Any citizen desirous of serving on any City Board and/ or Commission should submit the information outlined in Section 2 to the City Secretary at least 60 days prior to any expiration. Section 5. Vacancies that occur prior to regular expiration will be filled within 30 days after such resignation, death, and /or termi- nation. Citizehs desirous of filling unexpired terms should submit the information outlined in Section 2 to the City Secretary within 14 days after resignation, death, and /or termination is presented to Council. PASSED AND APPROVED this 11th day of November, 1975, by a vote of 3 ayes and 0 nays and 1 abstained at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
