A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF EULESS
TO PURCHASE COMMUNICATIONS MONITORING AND
RECORDING EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, the equipment presently available is not sufficient to
perform basic communications monitoring and recording, and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless does not have sufficient financial
resources to provide its law enforcement agency with this basic
equipment; and
WHEREAS, the utilization of this equipment will allow the City
of Euless law enforcement agency to increase its capability in the
basic function of law enforcement, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this City Council that the best
interest of the citizens of the City oflEuless will be served by
participating in this cooperative purchasing program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
1. The City of Euless desires to participate in the purchase of
the communication monitoring and recording equipment.
2. The City of Euless is authorized to enter into binding con-
tracts with low compliant vendor (s) and to purchase a com-
munication monitoring and recording system.
3. This City understands that the Texas Criminal Justice Division
is providing 100 percent funding for the purchase of the
equipment.
