BOARD MINUTES
September 3, 2015

Chairman Barney Snitz called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m.
DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES: Chairman Barney Snitz asked for a motion to be made to accept the
minutes of the August 6, 2015 meeting. Marcia Brown made the motion to accept the minutes and Allan Gibbs
seconded the motion.
WELCOME VISITORS: Chairman Barney Snitz welcomed the visitors.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Sherry Knight introduced Vickie Cristian, Library Clerk. Vickie shared with the board her job responsibilities
and her family information and hobbies.
Stats for the month continue to be good.
Update on Digital Products:
• Changing to3-M for downloadable audio books
• Hoopla for video streaming
• Help Now—Homework Database
• Edelweiss—Ingram Analytics
Library Events: Author Adventures on September 24th at 6:30pm, Les Elgart Tribute Orchestra on September
25th at the Leon Hogg Amphitheater at 7:00pm, Make It and Take Crafts every Thursday in October at 6:30pm,
HEB Music Showcase on October 5th at 7pm, Ghost of Granbury on October 6th at 7pm, Star Wars Reads Day
on October 10th fpm to 4pm, Fall Book Sale October 9-11.
DISCUSSIONS:
1. Barney Snitz commented that Me and My Monkey was really good.
2. Barney Snitz reminded the board of the 911 Ceremony in front of Fire Administration.
3. Allan Gibbs commented on the Fall Book Sale on October 9-11.
4. Mike McGehee invited the board to attend the tile dedication on September 20th at 5:00pm.

CITIZEN AND VISITOR COMMENTS:
Mary Lib Saleh commented on ELF tile project and to please RSVP.
LuAnn Portugal commented on the 911 Stair Climb at the Renaissance Tower in Dallas.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Mike McGehee and seconded by
Allan Gibbs. The meeting was adjourned at 8:03p.m.
