RESOLVED, that the City of Euless advise Texas Power and Light
that the City of Euless elects to suspend the operation of the
proposed January 26, 1977 Texas Power and Light Rate Schedule as
provided by the Euless City Charter and applicable State Law,
pending evaluation of what affirmatively appears to be a major
rate change - such suspension to afford the City of Euless an
opportunity to select and engage rate consultants, accountants,
auditors and other consultants to make a reasonable determination of
the rate base, the expenses, the investments and rate of return
to Texas Power and Light within the corporate limits of Euless; and
RESOLVED, further that the expense of such evaluation is to
be billed to Texas Power and Light pursuant to applicable ordinances
and statutes, as far as may be permitted by law; and
RESOLVED further, that a public hearing will be called by
the Euless City Council within the applicable statutory time
limitations, once the Euless City Council has assembled the necessary
data and information to properly evaluate the proposed rate change.
PASSED AND APPROVED this llth day of January, 1977, by a vote
of 5 ayes and 0 nays at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Euless, Texas.
