A RESOLUTION ENDORSING AND APPROVING KIDDIE CARR
PARK IMPROVEMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICATION
TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT, THROUGH THE TARRANT COUNTY PLANNING
AGENCY, FOR BLOCK GRANT FUNDS UNDER TITLE I OF
THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974,
PUBLIC LAW 93 -383.
WHEREAS, the Community Development Act of 1974, Public Law 93 -383,
authorizes the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to
award discretionary grants, through the Council of Mayors of Tarrant County,
and the Tarrant County Planning Department, to local governments to assist
them in Community Development; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless has held public hearings
and has received considerable public support in favor of the proposed park
improvements; therefore, the City of Euless has determined and does determine,
through these public hearings and work sessions, that the City should seek to
provide the proposed improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
1. That the City of Euless approves the Council of Mayors'
Community Development Project application, dated December
1, 1976, for grant funds under the Community Development
Act of 1974, Public Law 93 -383.
2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to handle all
administrative matters related to this application and to
execute such assurances, certifications, and other documents
pertinent thereto.
3. That the City Manager is hereby instructed that all funds
not spent on the specifically approved project will be
returned to the Community Development Contingency Fund in
accordance with applicable Federal regulations.
PASSED AND APPROVED on this the 25th day of January , 1977, by a vote
of 5 ayes and 0 nays, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Euless, Texas.
