SUBJECT: PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO PERMIT NO. 10221 -1
CITY OF MESQUITE
Gentlemen:
The City of Euless, Texas, joins with its sister city members
of the T. R. A. Customer Advisory Committee in urging you,
the Texas Water Quality Board, to defer placing the stringent
effluent limitations on the City of Mesquite. We ask that the
current ongoing improvements and resultant impact on the
quality of water in this basin be evaluated prior to the
placement of such stringent effluent limitations. Further,
208 Planning is currently underway in our area to determine
the effects of non -point pollution as well as point source
discharges, and we contend that these results should be
assessed before final effluent limitations are placed. Euless
and it's sister TRA members desire to attain good quality
effluent, but in fairness and the general public interest, we
urge your Board to impose limits of lOmg /1BOD and 10mg /1SS
until you can evaluate our efforts to obtain good effluent.
