RESOLVED, that Texas Power and Light Company's rate increase
be tabled and that persuant to Section 43(d) of the Texas Public
Utility Act, final action on such request be delayed for a period
of not more than 120 days so as to allow the City Council and
City staff the opportunity to conduct further investigation and
to gather additional data to determine what is a reasonable rate
base, expense, investment and rate of return for Texas Power and
Light to engage if necessary, rate consultants, accountants,
auditors, attorneys, engineers and /or a combination thereof to
assist the City Council in making such decision.
RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to
Mr. Bob Daniels, Texas Power and Light Company's Manager, by
close of business January 25, 1978.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 24th day of January, 1978, by a
vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Euless, Texas.
