WHEREAS, there is a growing concern in our region for the future
of transportation in and around the Dallas /Ft. Worth urban area, and
WHEREAS, the Steering Committee of the Regional Transportation
Committee of the North Central Texas Council of Governments recently
passed several resolutions directed to local, state and federal
governments requesting actions to help assure preparation in the event
of an energy shortage, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this City Council that the best
interest of the City of Euless will be served by supporting local
ridesharing programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS, that Richard Barnes, Director of Planning and Development
for the City of Euless, be appointed Energy Coordinator for the City of
Euless.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 28th day of March, 1978, at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless by a vote of 4
ayes and 0 nays.
