A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF EULESS TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CRIME
PREVENTION UNIT
WHEREAS, the current manpower and equipment are inadequate for developing
an adequate Crime Prevention Program, and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless does not have sufficient financial resources
to provide its.law enforcement agency with this manpower and equipment, and
WHEREAS, the additional manpower and equipment will allow the City of
Euless law enforcement agency to increase its capability in the basis function
of crime prevention, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this City Council that the best interest of
the City of Euless will be served by participating in this cooperative program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS:
1. The City of Euless desires to participate in the development of
a Crime Prevention Unit.
2. The City desires that the Criminal Justice Division will
provide 100% funding for the first year of the program.
3. The City further understands that funding will be requested
for an additional twelve months funding following the first
years funding, and all funding will be assumed by the City
of Euless beginning with the third year of the program.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 9th day of May, 1978, at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
