A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRINITY
RIVER AUTHORITY OF TEXAS TO PROCEED
WITH THE NECESSARY ACTIONS TO ENLARGE
THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT WHICH SERVES
THE CITY OF EULESS AND THE CITY OF
BEDFORD.
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has entered into contracts
with the Trinity River Authority of Texas to provide for the
purchase of a treated water supply, and
WHEREAS, the first phase of plant facilities has reached
treatment design capacity, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Euless recognizes that in order
to meet the water supply needs of its citizens and industry,
the existing water treatment plant must be expanded, and
WHEREAS, the Trinity River Authority of Texas has recommended
that the treatment plant capacity be enlarged at the earliest
possible date in order to satisfy projected demands of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Euless, Texas, that the City Council authorizes and
directs the Trinity River Authority of Texas to proceed with
necessary actions to effect an enlargement of the existing
water treatment plant recognizing that any financial commitment
required of Euless must be considered by the City Council prior
to implementation.
That the City Council of Euless urges the Trinity River
Authority of Texas to proceed with these necessary actions in
a timely manner to ensure an adequate water supply for the
City of Euless.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Euless, Texas, at a regularly scheduled meeting on this the
22nd day of August, 1978, by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays.
