A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF EULESS TO
PARTICIPATE IN A SKID TESTING PROGRAM TO TEST
THE COEFFICIENTS OF FRICTION ON SELECTED STREETS
WHEREAS, the expertise necessary and special equipment needed to
perform such testing is not available within the circles of private
organizations, and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless does not have sufficient financial
resources to provide for the needed manpower and special equipment,
and
WHEREAS, the data from this program will enable the City of Euless
to evaluate the friction qualities of various pavement materials, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the best
interest of the City of Euless will be served by participating in this
cooperative program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
1. The City of Euless desires to participate in the Skid Testing
Program.
2. The City understands that funding for such project will be
requested through the Office of Traffic Safety under the
State Department of Highways and Public Transportation.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 9th day of January , 1979, at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
