HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-447 01-23-1979RESOLUTION NO. 447 WHEREAS, the Dallas -Fort Worth Regional Airport Board, a joint agency of the Cities of Dallas, Texas, and Fort Worth, Texas, and the City of Euless, Texas, an incorporated Home Rule City, situated in Tarrant County, Texas, are desirous of closing Minters Chapel Road from Bear Creek Cemetery to its intersection with Glade Road, to permit the unencumbered development of a public use Sports Complex for the benefit of both, and WHEREAS, the Airport, as a condition to the closing of Minters Chapel Road at the locations above noted, has agreed with the City of Euless, Texas, to provide an alternate access along the Glade Road alignment from the Airport boundary to connect with the Airport's West Airfield Drive until such time as permanent East -West access is established by Airport in accordance with Airport's master plan of road development. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS: That for and in consideration of the mutual benefits to the Dallas -Fort Worth Regional Airport Board and the City of Euless, the Dallas -Fort Worth Regional Airport Board enters into an agreement with the City of Euless to provide an access along the Glade Road alignment, until such time as a permanent East -West access is established, and the City will close Minters Chapel Road, such agreement on file in Office of City Secretary. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 23rd day of January, 1979, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas. ATTEST: City Secretary Z41.Ze4te4,- Mayor
