WHEREAS, a bill is now being considered in a House of Representative
subcommittee regarding the proceeds of the one cent city sales tax, and
WHEREAS, the bill would provide a more equitable manner of distributing
sales tax monies, and
WHEREAS, such bill would provide additional tax monies to the City
of Euless for use in local projects directly beneficial to the citizenry
of such community, and
WHEREAS, monies spent by our citizens in other communities would be
partially returned to the City of Euless.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS, in regular meeting duly assembled, that the Euless City
Council does, by this Resolution, place on record its support of House
Bill No. 941 and by this Resolution does instruct the City Secretary to
forward a copy hereof to the House of Representative Ways and Means
Subcommittee.
