WHEREAS, there is now pending review and action of the govern-
ing body of the City of Euless, Texas, a rate increase request of
Lone Star Gas Company, the holder of a gas utility franchise pre-
viously issued by the City of Euless, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, did,
by prior adoption of Resolution 460, suspend the effect of such rate
increase in a manner authorized by law to further evaluate and con-
sider same; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, is of
the opinion that additional time will be necessary to allow com-
pletion of review of such rate increase request by it's consultants,
attorneys, staff and such Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Euless, Texas, in regular session duly convened, that:
I.
Final action upon the pending rate increase request of Lone
Star Gas Company filed with the City on the 26th day of July,
1979, be and the same is continued for an additional thirty (30)
days from and after the expiration of the one hundred twenty (120)
day continuation previously provided by Resolution 460, unless
such suspension shall be sooner terminated by appropriate action
of the Euless City Council.
II.
This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the authority given
the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, by Section 43(d)
of Article 1446c, VACS, as amended.
The City Secretary of the City of Euless, Texas, is directed
to furnish a copy of this Resolution to Lone Star Gas Company.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Euless, Texas, at a regularly
scheduled meeting on this the 13th day of November, 1979, by a
vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions.
