WHEREAS, there is now pending, review and action of the
governing body of the City of Euless, Texas, upon a rate increase
request of Texas Power & Light Company, the holder of an electric
utility franchise previously issued by the City of Euless, Texas;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, did,
by adoption of a prior Resolution, suspend the effect of such rate
increase in a manner authorized by law to further evaluate and con-
sider same; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, is of
the opinion that additional time will be necessary to allow com-
pletion of review of such rate increase request by its consultants,
attorneys, staff and such Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Euless, Texas, in regular session duly convened, that:
I.
Final action upon the pending rate increase request of Texas
Power & Light Company filed with the City on the 4th day of January,
1980, be and the same is continued until the 7th day of July, 1980,
same being for an additional thirty (30) days from and after the
expiration of the one hundred twenty (120) day continuation pre-
viously provided, unless such suspension shall be sooner terminated
by appropriate action of the Euless City Council.
II.
This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the authority given
the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, by Section 43(d)
of Article 1446c, V.A.C.S., as amended.
The City Secretary of the City of Euless, Texas, is directed
to furnish a copy of this Resolution to Texas Power & Light Com-
pany.

ADOPTED by the City Council of Euless, Texas, at a regularly
scheduled meeting on this the 13th day of May, 1980, by a vote
of 5 ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions.
