A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
CITY OF EULESS TO PARTICIPATE
IN THE POLICE TRAINING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the
best interest of the City of Euless will be served by participating
in this cooperative program, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Euless to have
the opportunity to train our officers in traffic safety areas
and identify deficiencies of the department, and
WHEREAS, this grant will allow the cities in District
2 of the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation
to establish schools to instruct the police officers in improved
traffic safety programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
1. The City of Euless desires to enter into and
participate in the Police Training Program.
2. The City Council authorizes and directs the City
Manager, W. M. Sustaire, to prepare the necessary
application for the program.
3. The City understands that funding will be requested
through the Traffic Safety Division under the State
Department of Highways and Public Transportation.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 24th day of June, 1980, at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas.
