WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, has qualified for certain
funds under the Federal Community Development Act which project
funds are in the amount of $75,000.00 and will be made available
through the Tarrant County Commissioners Court, the agency serving
as administrator for such Act for Tarrant County; and
WHEREAS, such funds shall be used for the construction of
sidewalk improvements on North Euless Main Street in the City of
Euless, Texas; and
WHEREAS, after submission of such project for bids, Tri -Con
Services, Inc., the low bidder, has bid the cost of such project
at $47,838.50; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Euless, Texas, to
proceed with such project.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Euless, Texas, in regular session duly convened, that:
I.
The City of Euless, Texas, does accept the Community Develop-
ment Project Grant in the amount of $47,838.50 for application
toward construction of sidewalk improvements on North Euless Main
Street in the City of Euless, Texas.
II.
The City of Euless, Texas, does request the Tarrant County
Commissioners Court to accept the bid for such improvements of
Tri -Con Services, Inc.,.in the sum of $47,838.50.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, at
a regularly scheduled meeting on this the 23rd day of September,
1980, by a vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
