battery, the Exit light, and museum hours on City website. He further mentioned he was
unable to reach the Blacksmith about a future event. After a Committee discussion, he said
he would try again and also have the Fire Marshal contact the group to discuss legalities of
any Blacksmith demonstration. The Committee recommended arranging a Blacksmith
demonstration during Heritage Park Christmas when there would be more attendance.
Also funding was discussed regarding who is responsible for expenses related at the facility
(City vs Historical Preservation Committee).
COMMITTEE REPORT/INPUT
1. Keith Jernigan remarked there is a directional sign on SH10 and Texas Star with a blank
space which he suggested could be filled with "Heritage Park". He also submitted several
photos he had discovered on the internet of Elvis Presley when he had visited the
Western Hills Inn. The photos will be framed and placed on display in the museum and
should be a welcome addition to the displays.
