March 15,2023
ITEM 1 - CALL TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Euless Animal shelter Advisory B9?t9 was.called to order by
Director of pubric works and Engineering Ma'tgrJones at 11:30 A.M, at the city of Euless
Public Works Building, 1513 Weltpark W"y, Euless' Texas 76040
The following members were in attendance:

Director Jones asked if there were any comments or questions. regarding the minutes of
September 7,2022. With no questions or comments, the minutes were accepted as
written.
ITEM 3 - UPDATE ON GAP
ACO Supervisor Atkinson reported that GAP held an adoption event at PetSmart with no
adoptions reporteJ. They also have a Walk-A-Thon scheduled on 412212023'
ITEM 4 - QUARTERLY REPORT
ACO Supervisor Atkinson asked if there were any questions pertaining to the quarterly
report, Dr. Read noted that there is an increase in-"animal at large" calls and an increase
in patrols and inquired if the two could be related. Aco supervisor Atkinson indicated that
with the added poiition of a sheltei attenOant, it gives them more opportunity to patrol a
greater number oi ,r"r, with animai-at-targe "itts.
Director Jones inquired about the
increase in noise viorations and whether this was a resurt of phone calls or witnessed
during patrol . ACO Supervisor stateJ that the majority are generated .by complaint calls
and that Animal Control will do extra patrols in the arei for Jfew days in order to monitor
the situation,

ITEM 5 - SHELTER / FACILITY UPDATE
ACO Supervisor Atkinson reported that there has been a new animal scale purchased
along with computer mounts in their vehicles to enable ACOs to work more efficiently in
the field. Plans are in place to update the dog yard with the help of the Public Works
Department to install double gate fencing to update the access points to the area. ACO
Supervisor Atkinson reported that there was a donation of animaltreats and various other
items collected by an elementary school class. ACO Supervisor Atkinson also reported
that PW crew member, Nathan Ryals, has completed his ACO certification and will attend
euthanasia training.

Director Jones asked if there were any further questions or comments and none were
indicated.
