A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND APPROVING THE
EULESS POLICE DEPARTMENT GENERAL MANUAL
WHEREAS, in order to provide an adequate basis for decision -
making by establishing clear, detailed guidelines stating the
goals and objectives of the Euless Police Department, and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has requested that a manual
containing departmental policies and procedures be developed, and
WHEREAS, various current procedure manuals, departmental
orders, rules, codes of conduct, texts, state law, city ordinances,
city civil service rules and regulations, and other materials
have been researched and compared, and
WHEREAS, the content of the manual is determined by inter-
views, conferences, and surveys to identify and group needs of
the department into the various general areas, and
WHEREAS, with the assistance of the Texas Commission on
Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education, such manual has
been completed.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Euless, Texas, that the General Manual for the Euless
Police Department as submitted to the City Council of the City
of Euless, Texas, be in all things approved and adopted.
ADOPTED, this the 24th day of February, 1981, at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
