WHEREAS, certain property situated in the cities of Euless
and Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and commonly referred to
as the Huie Addition, is the subject of a pending re- platting
being considered by the appropriate platting authority of the
City of Euless, Texas; and
WHEREAS, such re- platting, if approved by the City of Euless,
would authorize the abandonment and vacation of a portion of
Huntington Drive between its intersection with Alexander Lane and
State Highway 183; and
WHEREAS, the owners of such property, conditioned upon the
abandonment and vacation of such section of Huntington Drive,
propose to dedicate and construct a public street and roadway to
be an eastward extension of Alexander Lane and an extension of
F.A.A. Road over, upon and across a portion of the proposed Huie
Addition within the corporate limits of the cities of Euless and
Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the consent of all parties owning property abutting
and adjacent that portion of Huntington Drive proposed to be
vacated and abandoned and all utility companies having an in-
terest in easements and right -of -ways abutting or lying therein
have consented to such vacation and abandonment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, in regular meeting duly convened, as
follows:
I.
That, conditioned upon the following, the City of Euless,
Texas, agrees to adopt an ordinance vacating and abandoning that
portion of Huntington Drive between its present intersection with
Alexander Lane and State Highway 183 in the City of Euless,
Texas:
(1) The final approval and platting of record of the Huie
Addition to the City of Euless, Tarrant County,
Texas, and
(2) The completion of construction and opening to the
public of certain public streets and roadways in
accordance with all applicable ordinances and re-
gulations of the cities of Euless and Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, by way of an eastward ex-
tension of Alexander Lane and the extension of F.A.A.
Road so as to provide alternate access routes to
State Highway 183.

ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, at
a regularly scheduled meeting on this the 24th day of March,
1981.
