WHEREAS, there is now pending review and action of the governing
body of the City of Euless, Texas, a rate increase request of Lone Star
Gas Company, the holder of a gas utility franchise previously issued by
the City of Euless, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, did, by
prior adoption of Resolution No. 508, suspend the effect of such rate
increase in a manner authorized by law to further evaluate and consider
same; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas; is of
the opinion that additional time will be necessary to allow completion
of review of such rate increase request by its consultants, attorneys,
staff, and such Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Euless, Texas, in regular session duly convened, that:
Final action upon the pending rate increase request of Lone Star
Gas Company filed with the City on the 2nd day of July, 1981, be and the
same is continued for an additional thirty (30) days from and after the
expiration of the one hundred twenty (120) days continuation previously
provided by Resolution No. 508, unless such suspension shall be sooner
terminated by appropriate action of the Euless City Council.
II.
This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the authority given to the
City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, by Section 43(d) of Article
1446c, V.A.C.S., as amended.
The City Secretary of the City of Euless, Texas, is directed to
furnish a copy of this Resolution to Lone Star Gas Company.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Euless, Texas, at a regularly
scheduled meeting on this 24th day of November, 1981, by a vote of
4 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
