WHEREAS, the City of Euless is centrally located
in the Dallas -Fort Worth Metroplex Area and serves a com-
bined population of approximately four million people;
and
WHEREAS, the Dallas -Fort Worth Regional Airport is
located in the northeast section of the City of Euless, and
said Airport serves a large international population of
travelers to the Metroplex Area; and
WHEREAS, the rapidly growing residential, industrial,
commercial, and international aspects of the Metroplex Area
enhances the needs of the citizenry and visitors; and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council recognizes these
needs for adequate and safe highway access within the city
limits of Euless and which will directly affect the additional
surrounding population;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS:
That the Euless City Council does support the completion
of the extension of Texas State Highway 360 through the north-
eastern city limits of the City of Euless; and
That the Euless City Council further supports the
completion of the extension of Texas State Highway 360 to
provide a complete, safe, modern, and greatly needed public
transportation access which will serve the entire Dallas -
Fort Worth Metroplex Area.
Adopted at a regular meeting of the Euless City
Council by unanimous vote on January 26, 1982.
