A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF EULESS
TO SEEK FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE TEXAS
CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION FOR AUTOMATING THE
EULESS POLICE DEPARTMENT CRIMINAL JUSTICE
INFORMATION.
WHEREAS, the current equipment is presently inadequate in identi-
fying crime patterns, and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless does not have sufficient financial
resources to provide its law enforcement agency with this equipment,
and,
WHEREAS, this additional equ; pemt will allow the City of Euless
law enforcement agency to increase its capabilities in the basic func-
tion of law enforcement, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this City Council that the best
interest of the City of Euless will be served by participating in
this program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
1. The City of Euless desires to participate in this automation
program.
2. This City understands that the Texas Criminal Justice Divi-
sion is providing 100 per cent funding except on equipment
purchases whereas this city will provide 25 per cent funding.
3. This City further understands that this program is to continue
for a period of one (1) year and that the Texas Criminal Jus-
tice Division will provide funding. Ath end of this period,
all funding will be assumed by the City of Euless.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 13th day of April , 1982, at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
