WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, has been a member of the
Fort Worth Consortium for Employment and Training Program since the inception
of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) of 1973; and
WHEREAS, CETA was replaced by the Job Training and Partnership
Act (JPTA) of 1982; and
WHEREAS, JPTA provides for training and job placement assistance
to local unemployed and underemployed residents; and
WHEREAS, JPTA will be administered by the Governor of the State
of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless is desirous to continue its partici-
pation in the Fort Worth Consortium;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Euless (1)
will remain a member of the Consortium for Fiscal 1984, (2) authorizes the City
of Fort Worth as the Administrative Unit for the Consortium, and (3) supports the
request to the Governor of the State of Texas to designate the Fort Worth
Consortium as a Service Delivery Area (SDA) for the program year beginning
October 1, 1983.
