A RESOLUTION by the governing body of the City of EULESS ., Texas,
relating to the giving of notice of public hearing to be held
on whether certain areas of the City should be established as
blighted or economically depressed areas of the City of
Euless,; providing for notice to be issued, published and
given; resolving other matters in connection therewith.
WHEREAS, the Development Corporation Act of 1979, as amended,
(codified as Article 5190.6, V.T.C.S., the "Act ") provides that a
"Project" (as therein defined) may be undertaken and financed in the
manner provided in the Act under certain terms and conditions, and
additional latitude is given if the Project is located in a blighted or
economically depressed area of a city; and
WHEREAS, the area described on Exhibit A attached to and by
this reference made a part of this resolution is proposed for
designation as a blighted or economically depressed area, and it is
appropriate that a public hearing be held to determine whether the said
area meets the requirements, under the Act, so as to be designated as
blighted or economically depressed areas; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS
TEXAS:
SECTION 1: It is hereby found and determined that the City of
Euless , Texas, is a home rule city, operating as such pursuant to the
Constitution and laws of the State of Texas and the City may, pursuant
to the Act, establish a blighted or economically depressed area within
its boundaries.
SECTION 2: That a notice shall be issued, published and given
that this governing body will hold a public hearing at the date, time
and place set forth in the following notice:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE EXISTENCE OF
BLIGHTED OR ECONOMICALLY DEPRESSED AREAS WITHIN THE ,
CITY OF EULESS , TEXAS •
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Euless ,
Texas, will convene at the Council Room,Euless, Texas, at 8:00
o'clock P.M. on the 26th day of June , 198,4,to determine if
pertain areas of the City (hereafter defined) should be declared to be
blighted or economically depressed areas under the Development
Corporation Act of 1979, as amended, and the rules and regulations
promulgated by the Texas XASARVAM o• Economic Development Commission.
The areas which the City proposes to be designated as eligible blighted
areas are described on the attached pages.
At the time and place herein established for the.Public Hearing; all
interested parties may present evidence and testimony on the question of
whether such designation or declaration should be made under the
aforesaid Act or regulations.
This notice is issued pursuant to a Resolution adopted by the City
Council of the City of Euless, Texas,

CONSIDERATION FOR DESIGNATION AS BLIGHTED OR ECONOMICALLY DEPRESSED AREAS UNDER THE
. DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ACT OF 1979, . AS AMENDED:
DESCRIPTION OF AREA UNDER CONSIDERATION
Beginning at the intersection of South Pipeline Road and W. Euless Blvd. (also known as
State Highway 10 or Old Highway 183)
Thence east along South Pipeline Road following the curves to its intersection with
Industrial Blvd. (also known as State Highway 157)
Thence north on Industrial Blvd. to its intersection with the aforementioned W. Euless
Blvd.
Thence northeasterly along W. Euless Blvd. to its intersection with Martha Street
Thence south along Itlartha Street to the intersection with Alexander Lane
Thence east on Alexander Lane past South Main to the intersection with Cullum Drive
Thence north on Cullum Drive to the intersection with State Highway 10
Thence west along continuing west on to Huffman Road
Thence west along Huffman Road to the south access road of Airport Freeway or New
State Highway 183
Continuing west along State Highway 183 to its intersection with State Highway 157
Thence south along State Highway 157 to the south boundary of Euless Towne Center
Thence west along the south boundary line of Euless Towne Center
Thence north along the west boundary line of Euless Towne Center to the intersection
of State Highway 183
Thence west along the south access road of State Highway 183 to its intersection with
Wilshire Drive
Thence south along Wilshire Drive to its intersection with Kynette Drive
Thence east along Kynette Drive to its intersection with Yorkshire Drive
Thence south along Yorkshire Drive to its intersection with Toplea Drive
Thence west on Toplea Drive to the intersection with Wilshire Drive
Thence south along Wilshire Drive to W. Euless Blvd.
Thence southwesterly along Euless Blvd. to the intersection of South Pipeline Road said
intersection being this place of beginning.
The notice hereinabove set forth is approved as to form and substance.
The Secretary.of the City Council is directed to execute the same for
and on behalf of this governing body and the City Secretary shall cause
a copy of such notice to be:
(a) published once a week for two consecutive weeks in a
newspaper of general circulation in the City, the date of the first
publication shall be at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date set
for the hearing;
(b) posted at the City Hall at least fifteen (15) days prior
to the date set for the hearing; and
(c) transmitted by first class mail, postage prepaid or
otherwise to the *Texas Industrial Commission, P. O. Box 12728- Capitol
Station, Austin, Texas 78711, so as to be received fifteen (15) days
prior to the date set for the hearing.
SECTION 3: This resolution shall be effective from and after
its passage and it is so ordained.
