WHEREAS, the City of Euless has participated in the funding of a
study of the requirements and options for the establishment of a
countywide pre - hospital emergency medical services system; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court of Tarrant County did co-
sponsor and help coordinate this study to ensure that the interests
of all Tarrant County citizens were met; and
WHEREAS, the study was directly supervised by a specially
appointed countywide ambulance service study committee; and
WHEREAS, the committee was comprised of representatives of the
medical community, the cities of Tarrant County, and the Mayors'
Council of Tarrant County; and
WHEREAS, the study committee did direct the development of
findings and recommendations and did unanimously approve a set
of findings and recommendations as contained in the two volumes
entitled "Tarrant County Pre - hospital Emergency Medical Services ";
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Euless does recognize that the
concept of a countywide EMS System has merit and warrants
further investigation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF EULESS
TEXAS, does hereby authorize and empower the mayor and staff
to work with the Tarrant County Commissioners' Court and all
interested jurisdictions throughout Tarrant County in continuation
of the planning for a countywide EMS System, and that the
report developed during that planning process be submitted to
the City Council for its consideration.
