WHEREAS, the City of Euless wishes to participate in storm drainage
improvements for Collin /Denton Drive, in the Midway Park Addition to the City
of Euless; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has joined with the Tarrant County Planning
Department in the conduct of this project; and,
WHEREAS, Tarrant County conducted the bidding process with a total of eight
bids being submitted, which ranged from a high bid of $316,667.50 to a low bid
of $199,894.50; and
WHEREAS, this project is through the Community Development Grant Funds for the
Ninth and Tenth Year Programs, with a total funding available of $123,364; and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended by the consulting engineering firm of Elliott
& Hughes, Inc., that a low bid submitted by Try -Tex, Inc., of Waco, Texas, in
the amount of $199,894.50 be considered for this project; and
WHEREAS, if the low bid is recommended by the City of Euless, the City of
Euless will be required to furnish funds in the amount of $76,530.50.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the.City Council of the City of Euless, that
the City Council recommend to Tarrant County that the low bid of $199,894.50
submitted by Try -Tex, Inc., of Waco, Texas, be accepted, with the County
furnishing $123,364 toward the project, and the City of Euless funding
$76,530.50 to the project.
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 26th day of February
1985.
