WHEREAS: The Advisory Board for Social Concerns was established by Ordinance No.
462, and approved by the Euless City Council on November 13, 1973, to define
specific areas of social concern affecting the citizens of Euless, and
thereafter, to develop a program to deal directly and specifically with these
social problems; and,
WHEREAS: The Euless Civil Service Commission was established by Ordinance No.
498, and approved by the Euless City Council on January 27, 1976, to serve as a
review board for civil service system rules, regulations, policies, complaints,
and hearings; and
WHEREAS: The Euless Nonprofit Industrial Development Authority was established
on January 22, 1980, to promote industrial development growth within the City of
Euless; and
WHEREAS: The Library Board was established by Ordinance No. 319, and approved by
the Euless City Council on January 9, 1968, to serve in an advisory capacity to
the Euless City Council and the Library Director concerning library services for
the City of Euless; and
WHEREAS: The Parks and Recreation Board was established by Ordinance No. 251,
approved by the Euless City Council on May 25, 1965, to advise the Planning and
Zoning Commission and the Euless City Council on needs and requirements of city
parks and recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS: The Planning and Zoning Commission was established by Ordinance No. 32,
and approved by the Euless City Council on March 19, 1955, to protect every
interest of the people of Euless relating to the physical changes of the City; and
WHEREAS: The Zoning Board of Adjustment was established by Ordinance No. 347,
Section 13, on December 10, 1968, to hear cases of appeal and adjustment
concerning the zoning ordinances of the City of Euless;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS,
THAT
The Euless City Council recognizes that the above mentioned Boards /Commissions
are necessary to the well being of Euless citizens, and the organization and
planning of the City of Euless, and approves the appointment of each of the
following Euless citizens to the following Boards /Commissions:
Corenne E. Hill, Place 1; Larry Ingram, Place 7; Linda Evans, Place 8; and Diane
Hall, Place 10, to the Advisory Board for Social Concerns; and
Frank Dougless, Place 1, to the Civil Service Commission; and
Neal Adams, Place 1; Troy Fuller, Place 2; Ron Sternfels, Place 3; Bob Eden, Place
4; Willie Mae McCormick, Place 5; Robert Pippin, Place 6; and Glenn Walker, Place
7, to the Industrial Development Authority; and
Betty Fuller, Place 1; Chuck Canton, Place 2; Kay Munden, Place 3; Willie Mae
McCormick, Place 4; and Linda Evans, Alternate #2, to the Library Board; and
Marland Ernest, Place 1; Helen Lightbody, Place 2; Richard McNeese, Alternate #2,
and Leon Hogg, Alternate #3, to the Parks and Recreation Board; and
John Deithloff, Place 1; Jack Hill, Place 2; and Billy F. Owens, Place 3, to the
Planning and Zoning Commission; and
Marland Ernest, Place 1, and Billy F. Owens, Place 2, to the Board of Adjustments.
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on the 11th day of June,
1985, by a vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
