RESOLUTION NO. 85 -608
WHEREAS, the City of Euless is an incorporated homerule city within the County
of Tarrant, State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Euless and certain of its employees from time to
time travel in relation to the conduct of City business; and
WHEREAS, at the present time, the City must pay in advance and make special
arrangements for payment of the travel expenses for airfare, hotels, and other
travel expenses; and
WHEREAS, as the City grows and travel becomes a more frequent event, the
situation becomes more difficult to handle in a proper manner; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City Secretary have been utilizing their
personal American Express credit cards for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Manager and City Secretary to attend to
the payment of expenses for all City travel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Euless,
Tarrant County, Texas, that the City of Euless apply for an American Express
Credit Card and /or an American Express Gold Card to be issued to the City of
Euless, with a card each for the City Manager and City Secretary for the purpose
of payment for City travel expenses.
