WHEREAS, Euless Zoning Ordinance No. 347, Section 7 -1000 provides for specific
use permits for certain types of business operations within the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Euless Zoning Ordinance No. 347, Section 7 -1002 (49)
Concrete or Asphalt Batching Plant (Temporary), provides for approval by
special resolution of the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, Granite Construction Company, Grapevine, Texas, has requested of the
City Council to operate such a temporary batch and hot mix plant within Euless;
and
WHEREAS, said plant is proposed to be located about ten acres north of Little
Bear Creek, (north of Cheek - Sparger Road), and west of William D. Tate Avenue,
(southbound Frontage Road of State Highway 121); and
WHEREAS, said plant will be used for the paving of State Highway Project No. MAF
1120 (21) and Control No. 364 -11 -52 for that portion of State Highway 121,
between Highway 183 in Bedford, Texas, and proposed Highway 360 in Grapevine,
Texas. Work on this project began on August 15, 1985, and the anticipated
completion date is August 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas,
that said resolution be approved whereby Granite Construction Company, P.O. Box
247, Grapevine, Texas, 76051, will have permission to operate a temporary batch
plant and hot mix plant within the City of Euless, for the duration of Texas
State Department of Highway and Public Transportation Project No. MAF 1120 (21)
and Control No. 364 -1 -52, with said resolution to expire upon the completion of
this particular project.
ADOPTED AT A REGULAR MEETING of the Euless City Council on May 27, 1986, by a
vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
