A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE AS
HEREIN CONDITIONED TO THE RESTORATION
CHURCH OF EULESS, TEXAS, FROM THE
REQUIREMENT OF INSTALLATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF AN AUTOMATIC FIRE
SPRINKLER SYSTEM WITH RESPECT TO
PREMISES LOCATED AT 80 WILSHIRE VILLAGE
SHOPPING CENTER, EULESS, TEXAS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS:
Section I.
The Fire and Building Codes of the City of Euless, Texas,
as amended, authorize the Euless City Council upon application
of users with respect to certain occupancies within the City of
Euless, Texas, to grant a variance from the requirement for
installation and maintenance of an automatic fire sprinkler
system.
Section II.
The Restoration Church of Euless occupying certain premises
for religious purposes at 80 Wilshire Village Shopping Center
in the City of Euless, Texas, has chosen to renovate and
enlarge such occupancy so as to bring it within the
requirements of Euless' Fire and Building Codes for the
installation and maintenance of an automatic fire sprinkler
system and in connection therewith has requested of the Euless
City Council a variance from the requirement of installation
and maintenance of such automatic fire sprinkler system within
such facilities as so enlarged and renovated.
Section III.
The Euless City Council upon hearing such application has
determined that a limited variance from the provisions of
Euless' Fire and Building Codes requiring the installation and
maintenance of an automatic fire sprinkler system should be
granted, because of the limited use of such facility by The
Restoration Church of Euless, the number of entrance and exit
ways from such facilities to be established and maintained by
The Restoration Church of Euless, and the cost of installation
and maintenance of such automatic fire sprinkler system.
Section IV.
A limited variance to the requirement and maintenance of an
automatic fire sprinkler system is granted to The Restoration
Church of Euless and no other user or occupant of the premises
situated at 80 Wilshire Village Shopping Center in the City of
Euless, Texas. Such variance, unless further extended by the
Euless City Council, shall be for a period of thirty -six (36)
months from date hereof and shall terminate upon the first to
occur of the expiration of such period or upon any renovation,
repair or enlargement of the use of such facilities by The
Restoration Church of Euless occurring after February 10
1987.
Section V.
This Resolution shall be effective concurrent with the
effective date of Ordinance No. q20 adopted by the Euless
City Council on the 10th day of February, 1987.
ADOPTED this 10th day of February, 1987, by a vote
of 3 ayes, 2 nays, and 0 abstentions.
