WHEREAS, the City of Euless wishes to apply for a grant
with the State of Texas for a study of Driver
Behavior Selective Enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless will purchase /secure a personal
computer capable of handling the TRASER software
package developed by Texas Transportation
Institute; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless will hire personnel to enter
all traffic data on TRASER; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless will review data generated by
TRASER and will assign police enforcement
personnel to selected STEP sites as indicated by
TRASER information; and
WHEREAS, The City Manager is duly authorized to appoint a
representative of the City of Euless for the
purpose of executing the various documents
necessary for the fulfillment of this grant, and
the said person appointed for this purpose is
hereby named as James R. Hickerson, Director of
Finance for the City of Euless; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless will submit proper reports and
claims; and
WHEREAS, the State of Texas will provide funding for a
portion of the costs involved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Euless, Texas, that the City of Euless
join with the State of Texas in the TRASER program
developed by Texas Transportation Institute.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 8th day of December, 1987.
