WHEREAS, State law establishes specific deadlines for the adoption of the budget and tax rate; and WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a FY2024-2025 budget cycle that conforms to the requirements of State law; and WHEREAS, the approved budgetary schedule conflicts with the dates of regularly scheduled council meetings for the city council consideration of the FY2024-2025 budget and tax rate ordinances; and WHEREAS, Resolution 00-1058 was approved to provide for the rescheduling of a Regular City Council Meeting to a date other than the second or fourth Tuesday of the month. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The regularly scheduled City Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, has been rescheduled to Monday, August 19, 2024, and one additional regular meeting will occur on Monday, August 26, 2024, to accommodate the adoption of the FY2024-2025 budget and tax rate in accordance with State law.
