WHEREAS, The City of Euless is concerned about the property values and
information provided by Tarrant Appraisal District. And,
WHEREAS, the City of Euless wants Tarrant Appraisal District to bring all
property values in Tarrant County to their proper position in relation to
fair market value either higher or lower. And,
WHEREAS, The City of Euless requests that Tarrant Appraisal District
consider hiring outside consultants for special areas of appraisals such as
airports, etc. And,
WHEREAS, The City of Euless requests that Tarrant Appraisal District strive
to provide better information on property values and to eliminate the vast
disparity between the May 15 preliminary property value report and the July
25 Certified Tax Roll. And,
WHEREAS, The City of Euless is also concerned about the disparity between
the values provided by Tarrant Appraisal District and the State Property
Tax Board. And,
WHEREAS, Tarrant Appraisal District has agreed to focus on the preparation
to defend their valuations to the State Property Tax Board. And,
WHEREAS, School Districts in Tarrant County request the hiring of a Chief
Appraiser -Elect to smooth the transition of Mr. Bill Roberts. And,
WHEREAS, School Districts in Tarrant County request that a professional
appraiser be hired for the Chief Appraiser- Elect. And,
WAS, School Districts in Tarrant County request that the salary for the
Chief Appraiser -Elect be competitive enough to attract the best chief
appraisers in the State of Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas, that the City Council hereby supports the foregoing requests of the
member districts and implement an action plan to provide said improvement
during the 1988 -89 year.
PRESENTED AND PASSED on this the 27th day of September, 1988, by a vote of
5 ayes, 0 nays, and p abstentions at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
