PRESS RELEASE
Published January 31, 2024 Fibroid Institute Dallas Announces New
Fibroid Clinic in Euless, Texas
EULESS, TEXAS (January 2024): The highly regarded medical practice Fibroid Institute
Dallas announces the opening of a new fibroid clinic in Euless, Texas. With this new
location, Fibroid Institute can now offer more women in North Texas access to minimally
invasive, life-changing fibroid treatment and procedures, further supporting women in
DFW on their individual paths to improved health.
Euless New Fibroid Clinic
Located at 2101 Westpark Ct, Suite 320-A, Euless, Texas 76040, the fibroid clinic is
close to Texas Health Methodist Hospital, Texas Health Resources, and DFW Airport,
as well as accessible from three major highways TX-183 Airport Freeway, TX-121 Sam
Rayburn Tollway and TX-360. The new Euless fibroid clinic expands Fibroid Institute's
reach to help women suffering from fibroid symptoms. Fibroid Institute is delighted to
provide patients in Tarrant County--including Hurst, Bedford, Arlington, and other
nearby towns--with a local option for advanced care.
Fibroid Institute Texas founder and Medical Director Dr. Suzanne Slonim said, "Our
mission has always been to improve the lives of women and spread knowledge about
non-traditional fibroid treatment. From that perspective, it just makes sense to expand to
other cities in Texas. Far too many women still think that having a hysterectomy is the
only way to get rid of their uncomfortable symptoms. However, this couldn't be further
from the truth. Women in Texas need to know that they have options, and that fibroid
pain should not be normalized."
Many women are unaware that fibroids are the cause of their problems. Some don't
seek medical help until their condition has become life-altering. Furthermore, not all
women who seek medical attention are informed of all possible treatment alternatives.
For several reasons, patients may want to avoid undergoing major surgery, but they are
not offered any other options. The Fibroid Institute team believes they can better serve
patients and disseminate this message by expanding to additional sites. All locations--
including the recently opened Euless fibroid clinic--offer nearby access to a life-
changing procedure that many women are unaware is even an option.
Fibroid Institute Dallas is known for its five-star patient-reviewed medical practice, which
offers concierge-style customized care for non-surgical fibroid treatment. The uterine
fibroid embolization (UFE) procedure, performed by highly qualified and experienced
professionals at Fibroid Institute, helps thousands of women across Texas.
About Uterine Fibroids and UFE
Uterine fibroids are abnormal growths in the uterus that affect three out of four women,
most often between the ages of 30 and 50. Although usually benign, fibroids may lead
to life-altering symptoms, such as severe pelvic pain and heavy periods. Fibroids can
cause abdominal bloating, urinary frequency, back pain, and reproductive dysfunction,
including miscarriage, early labor, and infertility. They are often discovered during
routine health testing.
Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) utilizes state-of-the-art techniques to shrink fibroids
and alleviate fibroid symptoms. Fibroid Institute's experienced fibroid specialists make a
tiny nick on the patient's left wrist. A very small catheter is inserted and advanced to the
uterine arteries using image-guided interventional radiology. The physician uses X-ray
guidance to locate the vessels that supply blood to the fibroids. Tiny particles are
injected into the vessels, blocking blood flow to the fibroids, and causing them to shrink.
There's no hospital stay or incision. UFE can treat all fibroids at one time, so there is no
need for multiple treatment sessions.
Recovery time, generally only 7 days for most women, is much shorter than fibroid
surgery because it is less invasive and not surgical. Covered by most insurance plans,
the success rate for the procedure is over 90%.
