WHEREAS, the Euless City Council having a continuing
concern for the health, safety, welfare and lives of
Euless citizens hereby adopts the following resolution:
I. RESOLVED that the Euless Council opposes abortion
by choice where medical emergency is not involved;
II. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Euless Council
opposes the distribution to minors, without
parental consent, any form of birth control
devices or contraceptives (by governmental or
private agencies);
III. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Euless Council
urges the United States Supreme Court to reverse
the Roe vs. Wade decision and leave to the indivi-
dual states legislation regarding abortion.
PRESENTED AND PASSED on this the 9th day of May, 1989,
by a vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, and 2 abstentions at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Euless, Texas.
