WHEREAS, the 71st Legislature adopted the Texas Local Government Records
Act, which Act is now incorporated within Title 6 of the Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 203.025 of the Local Government Code requires the
governing body of the City of Euless, Texas, on or before June 1, 1990, to designate
a Records Management Officer; and
WHEREAS, such provision of law authorizes the governing body to designate an
office or position, the holder of which shall be the Records Management Officer; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Euless City Council to designate and appoint
the City Secretary of the City of Euless, Texas, as the Records Management Officer
of the City of Euless.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Euless, Texas, shall be the
Records Management Officer of the City of Euless, Texas.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary is directed pursuant to the provisions of
Section 203.025 of the Local Government Code to furnish a certified
copy of this Resolution, within thirty (30) days from date of its
adoption, to the Director and Librarian of the Texas State Library
and Archives Commission, Austin, Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, this 10th day of April, 1990.
