RESOLUTION REGARDING CITY OF EULESS' PARTICIPATION IN THE FORT WORTH
CONSORTIUM FOR EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAM FOR THE PERIOD
BEGINNING JULY 1, 1990, THROUGH JUNE 30, 1992.
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has been a member of the Fort Worth
Consortium for employment and Training Programs since the inception of
the Comprehensive Employment Training Act (CETA), of 1973; and,
WHEREAS, the Consortium membership consists of the cities of
Arlington, Euless, Fort Worth, Haltom City, and White Settlement; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has approved Resolution No. 88 -682 which
indicates its desire to continue as a member of the Fort Worth
Consortium in fiscal year 1988 -1989; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Euless supports the designation, by the governor
of the State of Texas, of the Fort Worth Consortium as a Service
Delivery Area (SDA) for the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA)
programs; and,
WHEREAS, effective July 1, 1988, the Two Year Plan for the operation
of the Consortium title IIA Job Training Partnership Act Programs went
into effect. This plan and the funding cycle for our local program
will terminate June 30, 1990.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Euless extends the
current Consortium Agreement to cover the time remaining in the two
year cycle by extending for the remainder of the cycle, the agreement
would cover the next twenty -four (24) months. The City of Euless
reaffirms its commitment as a Consortium Member by the passage of this
Resolution for the period beginning July 1, 1990, through June 30,
1992.
