A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL
COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF
MOBILE DATA TERMINAL SOFTWARE AND RELATED
EQUIPMENT, DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE
THE AGREEMENT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the police departments of Bedford, Euless,
Grapevine, and Hurst share a computerized network of mobile data
terminals; and
WHEREAS, the cities desire to purchase computer software and
its related equipment collectively for the MDT network in the
most efficient and cost effective manner; and
WHEREAS, the cities agree that a joint acquisition and
operation of this software and related equipment is the most
efficient and cost effective method whereby to purchase and
operate the same; and
WHEREAS, the cities agree that this software and related
equipment shall be paid for equally by the cities and shall be
owned one fourth by Bedford, one fourth by Euless, one fourth by
Grapevine, and one fourth by Hurst; and
WHEREAS, the cities are

Section 2. That the City Council hereby approves the
purchase of the Mobile Data Terminal Software and related
equipment pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act in the total
amount of $39,872 in which the City of Euless will pay $9,968.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is
hereby authorized and directed to execute the agreement and take
all other steps necessary to consummate the agreement.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and
after the date of its passage.

EULESS, TEXAS, on this the 10th day of July, 1990.
