HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-04 Euless Today2024 *April Pusu loN OF EULESS Dear Citizens, It's springtime, and I am so looking forward a to the beautiful weather and the upcoming o u t d o o r activities this month. One event I can't wait to experience is the total solar eclipse on April 8th, when the moon passes between the Earth and the Sun. I hear that during totality (when the moon totally covers the sun), the sky may become dark, temperatures may drop, and stars may be visible in the midday sky. In addition, this eclipse is a once -in -a -lifetime experience for those of us living in DFW. The last time we were in a solar eclipse's path of totality was in 1878, and the next one will not occur until 2317! Our City is hosting an amazing Eclipse Watch Party on April 8 at the Parks at Texas Star. I hope you bring your family and friends to this fun and educational event. There will be a live DJ, bounce houses, and many entertaining activities for people of all ages. Also, don't forget to attend the Arbor Daze festival on Saturday, April 27. Check out the drone show, carnival rides, concessions, contests, and other fun activities at this free family event.
