WHEREAS, the United Way of Metropolitan Tarrant County recently opened
its Northeast Tarrant County Service Center located at 813 Brown Trail
in order to meet the growing needs for convenient human and social
services for residents of the area; and
WHEREAS, there has been an overwhelming response to the availability
of services at the new Service Center, and additional space is
required so that more agencies will be able to have a presence in the
area; and
WHEREAS, additional building space is available for purchase adjacent
to the existing Service Center which will provide the necessary space
that is needed to expand the vital services; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this facility is an eligible Community
Development Block Grant Project and can be submitted for project year
1991 -1992.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
The City of Euless supports the efforts of the Metropolitan United Way
to expand its services into Northeast Tarrant County and to seek
additional space to meet the needs of Euless and area residents.
SECTION 2
The City of Euless also supports
funds available in the 1991 -1992
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
day of February, 1991, by a vote
abstentions.
