A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EUIESS, TEXAS, AUIHORIZING THE EUIESS PUBLIC LIBRARY TO
IMPLEMENT RECIPROCAL BORING SERVICES WITH THE CITY OF
GRAPE VINE; WAIVING THE NONRESIDENT USER FEES; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE ATE
WHE EAS, the Grapevine Public Library serves users from the City of Euless,
primarily frown the Bear Creek Elementary School area and the Euless Public
Library serves users from south Grapevine, primarily from the Bear Creek
Elementary School area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless Public Library wishes to provide library
borrowing privileges to residents of Grapevine in exchange for the City of
Grapevine Public Library providing library borrowing privileges to Euless
residents; and
WHEREAS, it is the finding of the governing bodies of the cities of Euless
and Grapevine that reciprocal library borrowing privileges would be beneficial
for residents of both cities; and
SAS, the Euless Public Library wishes to waive the non - resident user
fees for residents of Grapevine and the Grapevine Public Library wishes to waive
the non- resident naer fees for residents of Euless.
NC)W, THEREFURE, BE IT RESOLD BY TEE CITY =NOM OF ISE CITY OF MESS,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Euless City mil hereby authorizes the Euless
Public Library to implement reciprocal library borrowing services with the City
of Grapevine Public Library until either city gives thirty (30) days notice of
implementation of non- resident Tier fees.
SECTION 2. The Euless City Council hereby waives the Grapevine Public
Library's non - resident user fees for the residents of Euless.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately fraam and
after its passage by the City of Grapevine and acceptance by the City of Euless.
ADOPD this 12th day of November, 1991, at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Euless, by a vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.
