A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A MEMORIAL TO THE HONOR OF BOB
EDEN, FORMER COUNCILMAN LAND MAYOR PRO TEM OF EULES.S, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, Bob Eden was a lifelong resident of the City of Euless, Texas, and
served as a member of the Planning & Zoning Commission frown 1977 to 1981; and
WHEREAS, in April of 1981, Bob Eden was elected to the City Council of the City
of Euless and served as Mayor Pro Tem from May, 1990 until his death in January,
1991; and
SAS, as a man and as an official, he leaves behind a memorial of good
citizenship, and was at all times courteous and considerate of the welfare of
others, and he justly earned the respect, admiration and high regard of all with
wham he came into contact; and
WE EMS, his years of service were marked by exemplary dedication to the best
interests of the car unity, as he worked for the betterment of its economic,
cultural and aesthetic development; and
WHEREAS, during his life as a resident of the City of Euless, and even more so
while he served on the City Council of the City of Euless, Bob Eden was an
example of good citizenship, of good stewardship, and of good friendship to the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, and its Citizens wish to
recognize and honor Bob Eden in a memorial to perpetuate his service to the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'T'Y OF E1TIFSS,
TEXAS, that public notice and official recognition be taken of Bob Eden's long
and faithful service to the citizens of this City and sincere appreciation be
expressed for his dedicated performance of the duties of his office; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLED that the west segment of Little Bear Creek Park be
dedicated as "Bob Eden Park" and that an appropriate plaque and site be prepared
to honor him; and that this site be dedicated in the Spring of 1992.
ADOPTED this 12th day of November, 1991, at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Euless, by a vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.
