A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF CONTRACTS
BY THE CITY MANAGER OR OTHER DESIGNEE (S)
WHEREAS, by special election on November 5, 1991, the City of Euless
City Charter was amended to reflect in Article II, Sec. 6,
that "The mayor shall sign all contracts entered into by the
city except as may be exempted from such requirement by
ordinance or resolution adopted by the city council "; and
WHEREAS, for the most efficient conduct of daily business of the
city, the city manager or designee(s) should execute certain
contracts and agreements as authorized specifically by the
Mayor and City Council from time to time.
NOW, THERIZECRE, BE 1T RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Euless authorizes the city manager of the City of Euless to execute
contracts and agreements for the daily operation of city business as
outlined below:
1. Equipment and machinery maintenance agreements.
2. Contracts that do not exceed the State statutory
bidding limit.
3. Contracts and agreements that do exceed the State
statutory bidding limit as further authorized by the
City Council upon awarding of bid or proposal for that
item after approval on City Council agenda.
4. Professional and personal services.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 25th day of February, 1992, by a vote of
6 ayes, 0 nayes, and 0 abstentions.
