Please accept my heartiest congratulations on your retirement. Serving the
City of Euless as its City Manager for 15 years is a distinguished
accomplishment. I applaud you for the time and dedication you have given to
your community and its citizens.
No doubt you will be greatly missed by your colleagues as well as anyone who
has had the fortunate opportunity to work with you in this great community.
You are leaving a void that will be tough to fill.
On behalf of the Texas State Senate and the citizens of Euless, please accept

SENATE PROCLAMATION NO. 104
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
join the citizens of Euless in recognizing Joe C. Hennig on the
occasion of his retirement after 15 years of loyal service to the
city; and
WHEREAS, Joe Hennig joined the City of Euless in 1992 as
director of Development Services; he became assistant city
manager in 1993, deputy city manager in 1997, and city manager in
1999; and
WHEREAS, He entered public service after a long career with
Texas Power and Light Company, during which he rose from his
initial position in 1969 as a customer service coordinator to
become director of Marketing and Customer Service; and
WHEREAS„ A longtime civic leader, he has shared his talent
and expertise with such organizations as the Rotary Club,
United Way, the YMCA, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Texas
City Management Association; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure with the City of Euless,
Joe Hennig demonstrated dedication, integrity, and
professionalism as he enthusiastically accepted each new
challenge he faced and fulfilled his many responsibilities
serving the best interests of Euless citizens; now, therefore, be
it
PROCLAIMED, That the Senate of the State of Texas hereby
commend Joe C. Hennig for his exemplary public service and his
many contributions to City of Euless and extend to him best
wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further
PROCLAIMED, That a copy of this Proclamation be prepared
for him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
